Lemoyne Borough Website Redesign: Building a Better Digital Experience for Residents

When residents visit a municipal website, they’re looking for answers. Whether they need to pay a bill, find a meeting agenda, reserve a park pavilion, report an issue, or contact a department, they expect information to be easy to find and accessible on any device.
That was the goal behind our recent website redesign for Lemoyne Borough, Pennsylvania.
The Challenge
Like many municipalities, Lemoyne Borough had accumulated years of important information spread across numerous pages, documents, and departments. While the existing website served the community, borough staff recognized an opportunity to improve navigation, modernize the design, and make information easier for residents to access.
The borough also wanted a solution that would empower staff to continue managing content internally rather than relying on a web developer for routine updates.
Our Approach
Working closely with borough leadership and staff, the Triscari team developed an inviting, user-friendly website designed around the needs of residents, visitors, and borough employees.
The project included:
- A complete redesign of the site’s visual appearance
- Improved navigation and information architecture
- Mobile-responsive design for phones, tablets, and desktops
- Department-specific pages and resources
- Easy access to forms, permits, agendas, minutes, and public notices
- Enhanced parks, recreation, and community information
- Streamlined contact and communication tools
- Custom post types for recurring content such as agendas, minutes, and digital bulletins
Throughout the project, we focused on organizing information to help users quickly find what they need while maintaining compliance with the communication responsibilities of a local government website.
The Result
The new Lemoyne Borough website provides residents with a centralized hub for borough services, public information, community resources, events, and announcements. Visitors can easily access information about borough departments, parks, public meetings, permits, ordinances, recreation opportunities, and important notices. The site also features quick links, community resources, event calendars, and regularly updated news and announcements.
The redesigned site presents a cleaner user experience while making it easier for borough staff to keep information current and relevant.
Training for Long-Term Success
A website launch is only the beginning.
To ensure the borough could confidently manage the website moving forward, Triscari conducted training sessions with borough staff. We walked employees through the content management system, demonstrated how to update pages and documents, and provided guidance on publishing news, managing notices, and maintaining site content.
This training gives borough staff the ability to make routine updates themselves, reducing dependence on outside support while ensuring residents continue to receive timely information.
A Model for Municipal Websites
Municipal websites serve a unique purpose. They must balance transparency, accessibility, public engagement, regulatory information, and everyday resident services.
At Triscari, we understand those challenges. Our team has experience helping local governments create websites that are easy to navigate, simple to maintain, and built to serve their communities for years to come.
If your borough, township, municipality, authority, or public agency is considering a website redesign, we’d love to help.
